Body Shop Technician

Job Description:

The Internet Car Lot is now hiring an automotive body shop technician to add to our growing team! We are a very successful, locally owned and rapidly growing company who have been in business for 20 years! We just moved into our brand new state-of-the-art Service Center in downtown Omaha this year and are seeking techs to join our team! We maintain a fleet of over 800 vehicles that is growing in size daily!  The Service Centers features a huge mechanics shop, a full body shop, huge detail center, a photo booth for listing our vehicles for sale and more all under one roof!  This facility serves as a hub to service vehicles for our Omaha, Council Bluffs and Lincoln dealerships.  We also offer retail customer work as well.  There is never a shortage of work! We are seeking a very knowledgeable, hardworking, sharp, energetic, motivated technician with integrity.

Responsibilities Include:

– Meticulously repair or replace damaged body panels, bumpers, fenders, doors, and hoods using advanced techniques like welding and shaping.
– Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and masking according to industry standards.
– Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols for handling tools, equipment, and hazardous materials.
– Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
– Keep the shop clean, organized and presentable

Qualifications:

– Strong knowledge of auto body repair principles and techniques
– Technical degree is a plus
– Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
– Have full body mobility
– Good time management skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
– Valid driver’s license with good driving record
– Honest and great work ethic
– Reliable transportation to and from work
– Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation:  Based on experince – excellent competitive pay!

Experience:

– Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Body Shop Technician (or equivalent experience)
– Frame and paint experience is a plus but not required
